A word from H.E. Sheikh Abdullah Saleh

President Of Islamic Chamber Of Commerce, Industry, And Agriculture

(The following is an English translation of the original Arabic version.)

Ever since the 2005 Islamic Summit’s decision on dealing with anything concerning halal, the Islamic Chamber has made its first priority to develop the halal industry in the world in order to put all Islamic countries are at the forefront of leaders in this industry, not just consumers. The main aim is to develop “halal” to be a professional industry with its own standards, regulations, best practices, model operations and expertise in various stages – starting from raising livestock and poultry and ending with marketing operations – and its sectors – from carcasses, processed and canned foods, baby food, beverages, flavors and concentrates … – as well as other sectors outside the food and beverage industries such as the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries …etc.
Above all: to be a sustainable ethical industry, and this is the spirit of the righteous industry that the Holy Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, guided us to by saying (God has ordained kindness on everything; ………….., and if you slaughter, slaughter the animal with kindness, so thy one must sharpen the blade of the knife, and let it be quick and painless). It is the generous prophetic guidance that makes charity and perfection a title for halal industries in the world, and this is what we seek from the launching of this company.
One of the most important goals of the Islamic Chamber for Halal Services is, to provide technical expertise to Islamic countries that have enormous animal wealth but lack adequate infrastructure to make them among the most important countries in the world in food export. This would be achieved by the integration between the role of the Islamic Chamber and the company’s role in developing the halal industry in the world.
It goes without saying that the company will work with a global aspect with its different partners, since the main purpose of the company is to develop the halal industry in the world and not just to make profits, which means working with exporters and importers, with regulatory and regulatory authorities, with manufacturers and service providers, all of this to serve the end consumer who is very concerned that his foods and drinks are fulfilling God’s orders.
On the occasion of launching the company’s official website, I ask God for mercy and forgiveness to the late chiefs of the Chamber, whose interest in Halal was at the forefront of their goals in taking responsibility for the presidency of the Chamber, and I hope to God by launching this company, the fulfillment of their dream, in which they spent all their efforts and energy, but it is God’s will that it was fulfilled after their death, and I ask God by launching this company, still counts in the balance of their good deeds on the day of their meeting.
Finally I would like thank all my colleagues in the company for their great efforts during the establishment stage and remind them that the journey of a thousand miles has just begun, and that the journey of success requires the continued concerted efforts from everyone, and I hope that this journey will provide the ideal model that we all hope for, to serve our societies everywhere.
